En la imagen, sus restos son conducidos a la Cripta del Monumento a la Marina. Entre quienes sostienen el ataúd se halla el Comandante en Jefe de la Armada, Vicealmirante Olegario Reyes del Río. Arturo Wilson Navarrete (1851-1936) era guardiamarina de dotación de la Corbeta Esmeralda para el Combate Naval de Iquique del 21 de mayo de 1879. Sobrevivió al enfrentamiento, fue hecho prisionero, posteriormente canjeado, y prosiguió su servicio en la Armada durante el resto de la Guerra y el período de postguerra.
