En la fotografía, junto a su esposo, el Príncipe Felipe de Edimburgo (Q.E.P.D.), saludando al Cuerpo de Cadetes que realizó una ceremonia de “Tattoo” en el Patio del Buque de Punta Ángeles. Tattoo, viene del vocablo holandés “tap-toe” con que se conocían los toques de pito y tambor mediante los cuales se indicaba la hora de cierre de todas las tabernas del poblado donde existía una guarnición de soldados. Ceremonia que, al compás de marchas interpretadas por bandas de guerra e instrumental, los cadetes realizan ejercicios de destreza militar. Al costado izquierdo, con uniforme blanco, su comandante, capitán de fragata (fregattenkapitän), Fritz Lüdecke. El buque germano fue hundido por su propia dotación tras ser sorprendido por fuerzas navales británicas superiores, en el curso de la Primera Guerra Mundial, el 14 de marzo. Días después, sus tripulantes fueron recogidos por los cruceros Esmeralda y Ministro Zenteno y trasladados a Chile para su internación, de acuerdo a las leyes de neutralidad. Nótense las insignias de las gorras de estos oficiales mientras algunas lucen el escudo de la Marina Imperial Alemana (Kaiserliche Marine), con una corona con cintas sobre la escarapela nacional tricolor (negro, blanco y rojo), otras sólo llevan la escarapela.
