Este artefacto tenía por objeto inundar y vaciar los estanques empleando aire comprimido, con el fin de devolver a dicho dique a su posición original. Se emplearon en total tres distribuidores, cada uno para un grupo de cinco estanques: A, B-C y E. La mencionada maniobra fue planificada y dirigida por el Ingeniero Naval, Capitán de Fragata (R) y Gerente del Astillero Las Habas, Federico Corssen, y se realizó con éxito el 16 de agosto de 1941.
