Description An account of the resource Fotografía de plano entero del Cadete Lautaro Rosas Andrade (1876 – 1932), nacido en Puerto Montt un 5 de agosto de 1876. Único hijo hombre y menor de cuatro hermanos, nacidos del matrimonio entre Don Eustaquio Rosas Pérez-Asenjo y de Doña Rosario Andrade Huidobro. Su natural curiosidad e interés por todo lo relativo al mar, hizo que su padre, una vez terminados los estudios de Lautaro Rosas en el Colegio Alemán de Osorno, realizara los trámites necesarios para que éste ingresara en la Escuela Naval el 25 de enero de 1892. Pasados dos años y medio, Lautaro Rosas solicita su retiro, para retomar su formación en diciembre del año 1895. Por esta razón, esta fotografía debe haber sido realizada entre los años 1892 y 1895 antes de ser nombrado Guardiamarina de Segunda Clase en 1896.
