Description An account of the resource El 31 de Diciembre de 2020, la Armada de Chile y Bomberos realizaron Toque de Silencio en homenaje al personal de salud y víctimas de la pandemia COVID-19. El Comandante en Jefe de la Primera Zona Naval, CA Ramiro Navajas Santini señalo: "Es un reconocimiento y empatía con aquellos que han perdido seres queridos producto de la pandemia. Pero también es un reconocimiento a todos aquellos trabajadores de la Salud, Bomberos, Fuerzas Armadas, que están entregando lo mejor”. Agregó que "es como una forma de homenajear al personal de salud que nos ha dejado, tal como la Armada homenajea a sus caídos, a sus héroes, se hará un toque de silencio desde los pies del Monumento a los Héroes de Iquique, en Valparaíso". Asimismo, dijo el oficial “los buques encenderán sus engalanados y reflectores… con ello queremos indicar que hay una luz de esperanza". El homenaje: A las 23.58 horas del 31 de diciembre de 2020, según la tradición naval se realizó el toque de silencio.
