En la fotografía, junto a su esposo, el Príncipe Felipe de Edimburgo (Q.E.P.D.), saludando al Cuerpo de Cadetes que realizó una ceremonia de “Tattoo” en el Patio del Buque de Punta Ángeles. Tattoo, viene del vocablo holandés “tap-toe” con que se conocían los toques de pito y tambor mediante los cuales se indicaba la hora de cierre de todas las tabernas del poblado donde existía una guarnición de soldados. Ceremonia que, al compás de marchas interpretadas por bandas de guerra e instrumental, los cadetes realizan ejercicios de destreza militar. El Tattoo se realizó por primera vez en la Escuela Naval el 11 de octubre de 1962.
